SUMMARY:A Sufi Sema at the Tenleytown-Friendship Heights Library
DESCRIPTION:You’re warmly invited to gather for an Interfaith “Sema” at the Tenleytown Library. The “Sema” is a participatory Poetic Love Feast – an invitation to Sacred Space. We’ll be sharing some short Poems from Rumi and a few other Mystical poets in English. These poems will be interspersed with Sacred Chant\, Sufi Teaching Stories\, and select “Dances of Universal Peace” [“Sufi Dance.”] Our theme will be “Interfaith Unity”. Farsi Readers and Lovers of Rumi’s Poetry are also especially welcome to read to us in Rumi’s original Persian language. To learn more about the “Sema” and to RSVP for this event\, be sure to visit the event website.
