SUMMARY:DC-Area Interfaith Vigils in Response to the Violence in Israel
DESCRIPTION:Adas Israel Congregation\nDC-Area Vigil for Israel\nTuesday\, October 10 at 7pm\nJoin together with rabbis\, cantors\, and community leaders from all over the DC area as we gather in prayer\, song\, and solidarity following the horrific events in Israel over the past few days. Together we will draw strength from one another as we mourn deeply for those we’ve lost\, stand with those now in peril\, and pray earnestly for the peace\, safety and security of our beloved Israel. Join us in person\, or livestream here. \nPray for Peace in Israel & Palestine\nFestival Center\nWednesday\, October 11\, 12pmd\nThe Festival Center will be hosting a time of grieving for the violence and death as well as a time of silence and prayer for peace Wednesday at noon. This will NOT be a time of discussion or debate. All people\, no matter what their religious background or nonreligious background may be\, are welcome.  \nAbrahamic House\nWednesday\, October 11th 6:30pm\nOur fellows are opening the Abrahamic House doors to our community for an interfaith vigil. This will be a time and a space for individuals to mourn the lives lost and and pray\, in their own way\, for peace. Whether that means saying a Kaddish\, praying the rosary\, or reciting a dua\, we will express our solidarity through our differences.
