Interfaith Celebration of Creation

April 28, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Free

Celebrate the glory and wonder of creation in the All Hallows Amphitheater with an interfaith prayer service in honor of Earth Day.

Leaders from Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim and Christian communities offer prayers, music, and readings. Music will be led by the Cathedral choir and guest musicians.

A few important notes and recommendations:

  • This is not a service of Holy Eucharist; Communion will be offered at regular services at 8 am and 9 am. In the event of rain, the service will be held inside the Cathedral.
  • Even if it’s not raining, the ground may be wet or damp, so keep that in mind before you come.
  • Bring a blanket or low camp chair to sit on the amphitheater steps and a picnic lunch to share after the service.
  • All Hallows Amphitheater is located adjacent to Pilgrim Road across from the Bishop’s Garden. A limited number of folding chairs will be available for those who require them. The amphitheater is accessible by wheelchair with assistance.
