DESCRIPTION:ForestPlanet supports high-volume forest restoration projects around the world to the tune of 1.5 million trees planted to date. We also like to get our hands dirty supporting other tree projects where we can\, especially in our own back yard\, i.e. Rock Creek Park in Washington\, DC. We’re big fans of the ongoing Peirce Mill demonstration orchard project\, and we’ve written about it here. \nMonday May 27th is another volunteer day down at the Orchard and you’re invited to join us! \nVolunteers are needed to: \n\nSpread mulch around the apple and pear trees\nRemove vines and invasive species\nCut back the winder cover\nAttend to other minor landscaping tasks.\n\nCome out and get dirty!
