DESCRIPTION:HWPL\, in partnership with the African Union\, is coming together with our global partners for peace to honor the 11th Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace with a Peace Walk at Lafayette Square in Washington\, DC\, Saturday June 1st at 10am. Join them as they honor the work of peace happening all around the world. \nThough wars and conflicts have reached an all time high\, with religion at the forefront of many of them. Still\, efforts for peace are much stronger. Standing together in the nation’s capital\, we intend to amplify the voices of peace\, not just in the US\, but also in Africa\, Asia\, Europe\, North and South America. Religious leaders and their congregations\, as well as diplomats\, civil society leaders\, college students\, and youth organizations are gathering for this great display of unity and love. \nTo RSVP\, please register here.
