SUMMARY:Strangers\, Neighbors\, Friends: Muslim-Christian-Jewish Round table
DESCRIPTION:The Research Initiative on Multination States presents a roundtable discussion with the coauthors of STRANGERS\, NEIGHBORS\, FRIENDS\, Aziz Abu Sarah\, Rabbi Nancy Kreimer and Kelly James Clark\, who reflect on faith and peace in Judaism\, Christianity and Islam. \nStrangers\, Neighbors\, Friends is an informed and robust Abrahamic defense of compassion toward neighbors\, strangers and even enemies. It aims to show that Judaism\, Christianity\, and Islam have the resources to motivate respect and love for those of very different faith traditions. \nAccording to Eboo Patel\, President of Interfaith Youth Corp\, “These essays are like rays of light. They provide insight into the Abrahamic traditions\, but more importantly\, they illuminate the path to a common life together.” \nThis event will take place in room 505 in the Elliot School for International Affairs at George Washington University (1957 E Street NE).
