SUMMARY:“The Election and Beyond: A Look Back and a Look Forward.”
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, November 24th from 2-4 pm\, the Jewish-Islamic Dialogue Society of Washington (JIDS) will be holding its next salon at a home in Bethesda.  Our topic will be “The Election and Beyond: A Look Back and a Look Forward.”  Participants will be given an opportunity to discuss the results of this past election\, the extent to which our political parties have successfully addressed the concerns and needs of Americans\, our own hopes and fears for America as it approaches its 250th anniversary\, and whether we see ourselves working for unity\, resistance\, or both.    This dialogue will be followed by additional sessions in December and January on the topic of the Middle East Conflict.\n\nTo RSVP for our November 24th session (including obtaining the address for the venue)\, please email us at jids.washington@gmail.com.  There is a limited number of spaces available\, so please do not RSVP unless and until you are confident that you can attend.
