Towson University #SikhProject

August 22, 2018 (Towson, MD) – The Sikh Coalition is launching the critically acclaimed Sikh Project photography exhibition in Towson, Maryland on Monday, August 27th. The free exhibition, which is a partnership between the Sikh Coalition and British photographers, Amit and Naroop, lasts through October 26th.

Since the Sikh Project launched for the first time in 2016, it has traveled across the country – including New York, Texas, Maryland, California, Illinois and Washington, D.C. – and engaged audiences to learn about the challenges and triumphs of what it means to be Sikh in the United States. The photography exhibition features turbaned men, women and children who embody the diversity and beauty of the Sikh community. Twenty five of these captivating portraits will be on display at Towson University this fall.

WHENAugust 27 – October 26, 2018The exhibition space will be open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 8am – 5pm.

WHERE: Towson University Center for Student Diversity. Towson University, University Union, Suite 313, 8000 York Rd, Towson, Maryland 21252. For parking info, follow “Directions to University Union” here, then look for the University Union building. Admission is free for the general public.
