DESCRIPTION:This Friday\, July 3\, Uyghur Rally and Campaign for Uyghurs will be holding a non-partisan rally to call our President to act against China’s persecution of the Uyghur people. Uyghur activists Imam Shareef and Ms. Rushan Abbas will be speaking. \nThe US recently enacted the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act. This law states that “the President should call on such authorities to immediately close the internment camps” in China and initiate Magnitsky sanctions against guilty officials. As of yet\, the President has done neither. We will gather near the White House at 12pm this Friday to call our President to denounce the camps and to impose sanctions without delay.
