ALL PROGRAMS WILL TAKE PLACE OUTDOORS!

The annual IFC Unity Walk brings together hundreds of people from all faiths and backgrounds in a public display of solidarity and hope.

Join us on Sunday, September 12th, 2021 as we support one another and begin to heal our communities and our region at IFC’s annual Unity Walk. The event will start at 1pm at Washington Hebrew Congregation with on-site registration and an opportunity to learn about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Zoroastrian, and Baháʼí faiths. The outdoor opening ceremony will begin at 1:45pm at WHC, followed by visiting houses of worship and opportunities for informal conversations with members of Sikh, Muslim, and Buddhist communities along Massachusetts Ave., NW, and will end with the outdoor closing ceremony at the Mahatma Gandhi Statue at 5:30pm.* View the full program here!

This year’s walk will also feature a teen dialogue led by local high school students Sarah Doane (Student to Student) and Neha Kohli (Lazarus Fellowship program), a program for children (led by Catherine Maresca, Director of the Center for Children and Theology), speed dialogues, a performance by Mosaic Harmony, a panel discussion on music in worship and more!

This year’s Resource Fair will be virtual! It will go live on Friday, September 10th and will stay live until the end of the day on Sunday, September 12th.

This year will also feature virtual visits of different houses of worship. Those tours will also go live on Friday, September 10th and will stay live until the end of the day on Sunday, September 12th.

*The ADAMS Center has generously donated a shuttle bus that will drive walkers from the Mahatma Gandhi statue to Washington Hebrew Congregation from 6pm to 7:30pm.
