Born in Egypt, raised in Alabama, and armed with a sharp wit and even sharper legal mind, Yasmin Elhady has mastered the art of juggling identities without dropping the ball (or her kids). She’s the lawyer who’ll argue you under the table by day and have you ugly-laughing about it by night, all while probably baking cookies for a school fundraiser. After earning her law degree from UCLA and Masters from Princeton, she took on the heavy hitters of systemic inequality at the Department of Justice. She’s appeared on stages across the US and Europe, including The Kennedy Center. She stars in Hulu’s “Muslim Matchmaker,” and has been featured on NBC, NPR, and Netflix is a Joke Radio.
Carmiya Weinraub has been described as relatable, genuine, and born for comedy. As one of the few Orthodox Jewish female comics, she uses her voice to smash stereotypes surrounding moms and religious Jews. She has been featured on NPR and the Washington Jewish Week for creating Interfaith Comedy, a nationally-touring show with comedians of different religions that aims to reduce prejudice. Carmiya has performed at Standup NY, the DC Comedy Festival, the Takoma Park Arts Series, and colleges, clubs, and places of worship across the country. She won’t perform on Shabbat, but she’ll slay on Sunday.
Aure (AJ) Stewart is a comedian based wherever the Navy needs him (currently Norfolk, VA). He has performed in 13 states and internationally for troops deployed in Honduras. He got his start in comedy after completing the Armed Services Arts Partnership Comedy Bootcamp Course in the spring of 2020. He gets his inspiration from his upbringing in Utah, the highly efficient US government, and from his wife who/whom (life is too short to learn the difference) makes him laugh every day. His clean comedy is appropriate for all audiences and his dry delivery will leave you laughing or wondering if he is okay.
