Join Us in Celebrating Bridge Building with Laughter and Heart!
Named after IFC’s Founding Executive Director, the Rev. Clark Lobenstine, the Rev. Clark Lobenstine Interfaith Bridge Builders’ Awards celebrate the achievements of leaders in the DC region who have committed themselves tirelessly to building a more pluralistic society. The 2025 Interfaith Bridge Builders’ Award will happen on Sunday, June 8th from 6:30-8:30pm at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 10701 Old Georgetown Rd, Rockville, MD 20852.
IFC is thrilled to announce this year’s recipients of the Interfaith Bridge Builders’ Award are: Yasmin Elhady and Carmiya Weinraub! Learn more about them here.
Yasmin and Carmiya aren’t just comedians—they are courageous bridge builders, using humor as a sacred tool to connect across lines of faith, culture, and identity. Through their performances, they offer more than laughs—they offer audiences an invitation: to listen differently, to learn with lightness, and to rediscover joy in shared humanity.
This annual award honors leaders in the DC region who are weaving a more inclusive, pluralistic society. With every punchline and story, Carmiya and Yasmin are doing just that—expanding understanding, sparking curiosity, and reminding us that laughter can be a powerful path to compassion.
The evening will feature a comedy performance with Carmiya, Yasmin and two other comedians, PT Bratton and AJ Stewart followed by an intimate conversation with Carmiya and Yasmin.
