On October 19-20, the Council on American-Islamic Relations is holding a civil rights conference outside Washington, D.C. American Muslim leaders (including Khizr Khan, Namira Islam, and others) will be instructing students, lawyers, activists, and interested community members on how to stand up for civil rights.
We’d like to invite the community to attend. The weekend culminates on Saturday, October 20, with CAIR’s annual banquet at the Crystal City Marriott. In order to cover costs and food, there is a charge — unless you are able to volunteer.
