Faith Communities in Action (FCIA) Safety and Security Event: “Understanding the Human Side of Targeted Acts of Violence.”

September 20, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

This is an opportunity for you to learn about signs and symptoms that may indicate an individual is at risk for engaging in targeted acts of violence and what to do if you identify someone who may be at risk.  

Participants will also learn about possible grant funding opportunities to help prevent targeted violence and terrorism.

 Speakers will include subject matter experts from:

·      U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3)

o  Regional Prevention Coordinator who is also a Certified Master Trainer in Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management at the National Threat Evaluation and Reporting (NTER) Office

·      Fairfax County Community Services Board (CSB)

·      Fairfax County Police Department

·      Fairfax County Department of Emergency Management and Security (DEMS)
