November 16 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Event Navigation
Grandparents, this is an opportunity for the whole family! Join the Museum for a day of sharing family memories—and recording them for posterity.
Inspired by the value of m’dor l’dor (from generation to generation), visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to explore the museum’s exhibitions, record their own memories with our oral history tools, and start a family scrapbook. The day’s activities include:
- Kids interviewing grandparents and other family member, with the help of an interview guide created by our education team
- Interactive “Bubbe Stories” with former JCC preschool director Valerie Schwartz | 10:15 am & 11:15 am
- Recording a family memory with the Museum’s Oral Historian Kerry Reed for our archive
- Preserving a memory together at a photo booth
- Creating your own scrapbook using your photo booth picture and any other photos, recipes, and family materials you would like to bring
- And, of course, treats for purchase from Baked by Yael
Best enjoyed by children ages 5-12 and their Families!
Please note: Tickets for both adults and children are $5, but no family need pay more than $20. Please read follow instructions carefully at the point of purchase to ensure you are not overcharged.
