Meeting the Moment: A Conversation Among Faith and Interfaith Actors
May 28 @ 2:00 pm
Event Navigation
As a result of changes in immigration and asylum policies, many faith-based communities are responding with renewed commitment to human dignity, protection, and solidarity. United Religions Initiative – North America, in partnership with San Francisco Interfaith Council, will host a leadership discussion on the topic of Sanctuary. This invite-only panel will include representatives from URI Cooperation Circles (CCs) and allied organizations who will share how they are navigating this moment by offering support, advocacy, and sanctuary in various forms. In this confidential space, participants will hear directly from congregations, interfaith councils, advocacy networks, and service providers about the models they are using, the risks they are managing, and the collaborations that make this work possible.
Panelists will reflect on the experience facing migrants and displaced communities and the challenges of faith-based people who care about them. This conversation highlights the vital role of faith communities in fostering care, connection, and belonging. If you would like to attend, be sure to register on the event website.
