A community awareness and action forum focusing on missing persons of color, particularly drawing attention to the concerns regarding children and seniors and the responses by law enforcement, communities, media and the public in order to find them.
Co-Founders of Black and Missing Foundation, Inc., Derrica Wilson (President and CEO) and Natalie Wilson (Chief Operations Officer) are the keynote speakers and will facilitate the event.
The audience will include family and friends of missing persons, youth, members of faith communities, people from community-based groups, law enforcement, government agencies, and the general public.
A light fare begins at 5:30 pm. The forum starts promptly at 6:30 pm & ends at 8:00 pm. Sign interpretation services available with registration requests.
Parking is limited. Event is near Shaw-Howard University and Mt. Vernon Square 7th Street-Convention Center Metro Stations and not far from the 70, G8 and P2 bus lines.
