What is a “Sema?” A participatory Communal event of shared Rumi and other Sacred Poetry,  Interfaith Sacred Chants and easily learned Sufi Circle Dances from the World’s Sacred Traditions [“Dances of Universal Peace”]. If we have Farsi readers we will read in both  English and Farsi [Rumi’s original Persian language]. We’ll provide Poetry sheets – but please feel free to bring [to read] the  special  pieces of Spiritual Poetry that touch you! We’ll also take time for open-hearted sharing and dialogue. The Semas offer a wonderful way to Spiritually Attune in a group – truly a form of Spiritual Communion. We’ll also offer time for participants to Share, Dialogue & “Commune” from their own Spiritual Journeys & Religious Traditions.

This month we’ll be honoring the Sufi Ideal of “Divine Ecstasy” with Sacred Poetry, Dance and Remembrance. The Semas are free and without charge.
