Storytelling in the J Street Sukkah with NSL

October 7, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Among the many teachings of Sukkot is that of Ushpizin – the tradition of inviting exalted guests to our sukkah. These may be historical figures we admire or they may be living people, though this year they join us virtually.

Please join us on Wednesday, October 7 at 12 noon ET in our virtual sukkah for a conversation with our ushpizin – delegates from New Story Leadership. We are excited for an hour of storytelling, which will evoke the very values highlighted in our high holiday materials.

New Story Leadership’s theory of change is based upon the understanding that conflict is built out of stories. These stories divide, demonize, and dictate that there can be no compromise with the other side. And just like conflict, NSL believes peace is built out of stories. Stories of honesty, humility, and humanity. The NSL program strives to change the stories that create the conflict by creating alternative stories that will ultimately create a just peace. NSL identifies emerging leaders in Palestinian and Israeli society.

Please join us to hear their stories.
