As Vesak approaches, an invitation is extended to the wider interfaith community to join the gatherings at the Amata Meditation Center and Gallery this May.
This year’s Vesak marks both the annual observance and the opening of the space. The gatherings will be simple and open: a Vesak ceremony, several days of interfaith and arts-based programming, and an exhibition by Chou Chen. The intention is to offer a setting where people from different traditions may come together quietly—in reflection, conversation, and shared presence.
All are warmly welcome to attend, even briefly:
May 2 (Sat.) — Opening & Vesak Ceremony
May 9 & 16 (Sat.) — Interfaith & Arts Immersion
May 10 (Sun.) — Buddha Bathing (Germantown)
