Displaced Kitchens Iftar
This Ramadan, Komeeda is bringing its heralded Displaced Kitchens series to one of the District’s most distinguished Middle Eastern outposts. Mama Ayesha and Komeeda will be giving a recently-resettled refugee the opportunity to take center stage and share their story and their culture through their food this high holy month. United States of Love Over Hate | An Interfaith Iftar
Join us on June 5, 2018, for our annual interfaith Iftar in DC! We will begin at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7:15) with a short program prior to breaking fast, then will share a meal over conversation with one another. This event is hosted by Shoulder to Shoulder in partnership with MakeSpace, Good Neighbors, Hill Havurah, the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington, the Islamic Society of North America, and the Jewish Community Relations Council.

Al Noor: Sanitizing the Hate Corroding the Beauty of the Islamic Faith
In 2017, Masjid Muhammad, became the recipient of a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Countering Violent Extremism grant. On Thursday, October 11, 2018, we will facilitate a meaningful conversation with government officials, non-profit organizations, religious leaders and academia on how to deal with multiple aspects of countering threats domestically and abroad.

St. Martin/Georgetown University 2019 Seder Supper
The Saint Martin's Church Seder Supper celebration is a memorable collaboration of Jewish Tradition, African American History, and Christian Faith--bridging the gap between faith, religion, and race in a spirit-based unifying event. This activity was started by St. Martin's Spiritual leader--Reverend Fr. Michael Kelley and his colleague/friend Rabbi Harold White from Georgetown University. St. Martin's Catholic Church has co-hosted this activity with Georgetown University's Jewish Community for the past 20 + years.
