In honor of the 10th Anniversary of the HWPL World Peace Summit, leaders from all around the world are gathering to make peace possible in their communities. To accompany the World Peace Summit in South Korea, leaders in media throughout the Caribbean will put into action the DPCW by spreading a culture of peace through their platforms. As mainstream media today highlights headlines about the division religion causes, this event will shine a light on the unity and peace religion can create. It brings us hope to see a glimpse of the future, where there are no longer wars caused by misunderstanding amongst religions.

Join us virtually on Saturday, September 21st for the Bilateral Summit for Peace in Haiti: Peace Journalism in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

A link to RSVP will be shared soon. The specific session time to attend will be shared closer to the date.

We look forward to hosting you for this momentous occasion. As HWPL is hosting events for peace globally throughout September, we’d like to invite you to join Washington DC’s HWPL Branch’s regional event hosted in the beautiful nation of the Dominican Republic. We hope many religious leaders and people of faith will be able to join the conversation virtually to demonstrate the need for religious dialogue, perspective, and participation in media and all facets of society in order to achieve peace.
