As-Salaam Aleykum/Shalom, and Chag Sameach,
 
     As we are aware that many of you plan to canvass during weekends next month, JIDS’s next dialogue will take on a Tuesday night (the 22^nd of October) over Zoom from 7-9 pm.  We will be talking about what ought to be a hot topic during the lead up to every election, but rarely is given the attention it deserves:  Confronting Poverty.   
 
     Truly, no topic is more central to the religions of Abraham/Ibrahim than this one.  For Jews, Muslims and Allies alike, the fact that poverty has proven to be as intractable as it has is a tragedy of the deepest magnitude.  What can our society do about it?  What can we as individuals do about it?  These are among the questions we will address, starting by presentations by an excellent three-person panel, followed by a Q&A, and culminating with small group discussions.
