If You Could Make a Plea, What Would it Be?

October 6, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

When Jews, Muslims and Allies get together, we often talk about common ground. But
let’s face it – most of us have strong opinions, and we regularly don’t see eye to eye
with all members of our own faith tradition, let alone with everyone from a cousin faith.
What if we were to create a safe space where JIDS members can open our hearts and
minds and express ourselves – civilly, lovingly, and yet candidly – on topics where we
feel our own position isn’t getting enough respect or attention? Whether the topic
involves war and peace, theology, ritual, or whatever, think about sharing a perspective
that you think people may not have fully considered. We will do our best to ensure that
your perspective is no less honored than you are for having the courage to share it.
