Interfaith Community Playhouse Build

May 5 @ 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

On May 5, 2024 at 1pm, In partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Metro MD, the Bender JCC is hosting a community-wide Interfaith Playhouse Build to support HHMM’s justice work in providing affordable housing.  In a time of global division, we are reaching out to local faith communities to build bridges and work together for the common goal of supporting affordable housing for families in our community.

The afternoon will be filled with building and painting playhouses to be placed in the yards of HHMM homeowners providing a safe place for their children to play. In addition, we will be joined by County Executive Marc Elrich, to learn and engage in a discussion about Montgomery County’s efforts in creating more affordable housing.  All funds raised from this project will go to support Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland.

This is an exciting collaborative volunteer opportunity for families to serve together. Builders must be 10 or older.  We will have painting opportunities for younger kids as well. For more information, click here.
