The zoom webinar and joint community service event is an initiative of a new organization known as the International Interfaith Service Initiative (IISI), jointly created by the Indian Pluralism Foundation based in Kolkata, India and the Interfaith Service Initiative of Washington, D.C., focused on our common commitment in India and the USA to “Living Our Faiths Through Service“. We especially hope that those of you who took part in the inspirational ISI food packaging and delivery events last February at the ADAMS Center and America’s Islamic Heritage Museum, and in our food distribution to new immigrants together with Sanctuary-DMV, will join us on February 21.  

IISI is the first ever international interfaith organization bringing together people of diverse faiths from around the world to work together to serve poor, hungry and homeless people. All the world’s major religions share a commitment to serve people in need. By joining forces and pooling resources, we can avoid needless duplication of resources and achieve a more sustained and lasting positive impact.

Equally as vital, IISI offers people of diverse faiths the opportunity to serve the needy TOGETHER! In the process, we are building ties of friendship and trust between individuals of diverse faith communities; while helping each other to fulfill our respective religious beliefs and commitments.
