OK Boomer: A Discussion of Generational Differences and Their Impact on Contemporary Jewish and Muslim Communities

November 22, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Jewish-Islamic Dialogue Society of Washington (JIDS) invites you to an event entitled “OK Boomer,” and it will entail providing Millennials and Gen Zers the microphone.   Members of those generations will serve as the panelists, and they will explain to the rest of us how their generations might take a different approach than their elders to religious congregational life, theology, politics, or other important topics.

The event will be held on Sunday, November 22nd, from 7-9 p.m.   It’s official title is “OK Boomer: A Discussion of Generational Differences and Their Impact on Contemporary Jewish and Muslim Communities.” You will be hearing from four young-adult panelists: a political activist and pundit, a scholar on African security issues, a doctor specializing in internal medicine, neurology and psychiatry, and a student at the University of Virginia. After they are finished making their presentation, there will be a Q&A to be able to hear from additional young-adult voices, among others.

To register for the event, please send an e-mail to [email protected].
