Online Forum to Stop COVID-19 related Hate

April 24, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Speakers will include:

  • Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh
  • Maryland State Senator Susan Lee
  • Montgomery County Office of Human Rights Director Jim Stowe
  • APA Community Leader Judge Hon. Chung Pak
  • CUAH Advisor Aryani Ong
  • ADL Senior Associate Regional Director Meredith Weisel

This event is part of a series of online events that CUAH is organizing/sponsoring to address this problem. It presents an important opportunity for this group to build on the discussion we had in early March, and the great work of the Faith Community Working Group, the Interfaith Council of Metropolitan Washington, and the faith-based institutions that attended that meeting. We might not be able to organize the in-person interfaith sermons that we talked about in March, but we can still work together to organize a broad coalition of communities to fight the latest face of hate – violence against Asian American and Jewish persons who are being unfairly blamed for the pandemic.
