Threats to Refugees & Immigrants

Join us for a free Zoom event on Tuesday, February 25, 7:00-8:30p.m. Central Time with panelists who are dealing with immigrants and refugees whose lives and dreams are being destroyed as we speak while groups that can help are having their funds cut and hands tied. Learn what is happening as a new administration takes charge and, more importantly, how you can help. Suzanne Gladney is an Immigration Attorney & founder of Migrant Farmworkers Assistance just east of Kansas City. Meagan Fanning works for Jewish Vocational Services in social work with immigrants settling in KC. Abigail Cipparone is the Domestic Policy Advocate for the United Church of Christ in Washington, D.C. with a focus on immigration issues and policy. This event is being sponsored and organized by the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council. Co-sponsors include Southwood United Church of Christ, The Cross Border Network, the Interfaith Center at Miami University, Peaceworks KC, and Migrant Farmworkers Assistance.
