As we approach the anniversary of the murder of George Floyd and mark the observance of Asian American and Pacific Island Heritage Month, the Interfaith Coalition of Bowie is partnering with city, county, and state officials to hold a Stop the Hate rally. This in-person socially distanced protest will be held on Sunday, May 23rd at 3 p.m. at the Allen Pond Park Amphitheater at 3330 Northview Drive in Bowie.

Rally Against Poverty
The Poor People’s Campaign will release its groundbreaking study on the impact of the pandemic on the 140 million poor and low-income people in the United States. Following the study release, there will be a rally, speeches and a march with interfaith clergy, faith leaders, poor and low-wage workers to demand that this nation address the issues of poverty in DC and across the country.
