Herb Planting for Sukkot
Hi all! Please join us to (belatedly) celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot! Sukkot, a Hebrew word meaning booths or huts, refers to the Jewish festival of giving thanks for the fall harvest. Sukkot is the only festival that contains an explicit commandment to rejoice, so come rejoice with us by decorating pots, planting herbs, and indulging in some fruits of the harvest. As you prepare for the election on Tuesday, November 5, the Metro D.C. Synod invites you to join in a time of prayer at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29.
