IFC’s concert is our major annual fundraising event. Donations to the concert sustain our year-round work. Hebrew Kirtan is participatory chanting where short, sacred phrases from the Jewish tradition are treated as powerful, universal meditations. The 2018 service, entitled "King: His Voice, His Teachings, His Love for Humanity" will feature a keynote address by The Hon. Ben Chavis, Former Executive Director of the NAACP. The emcee for the event is Emmy award-winning journalist, Ms. Barbara Harrison (Channel 4 News). Music and interfaith reflections from several faith traditions in the DC area will be featured. Light refreshment reception follows service. Contributions collected will benefit local charities and the MLK Center in Atlanta.
