Interfaith and Social Action Pavilion
When the Scotland Community was at risk of being eliminated by socioeconomic forces in the 1960s, it was the surrounding faith community who stepped in with a “Save Our Scotland” campaign. In 2023, a similar campaign, “The Second Century Project,” was formed by the Scotland AME Zion Church to bring together leaders in faith, business, and the broader community. Building Community, Making Peace: A Restorative Church Gathering
Across the country, people are turning to restorative justice practices to strengthen community, create dialogue across divisions, and prevent and respond to conflict and harm. JIDS Potluck Picnic
Join JIDS for a potluck alongside music, swimming, and a bonfire. The potluck picnic will feature Halal/Kosher burgers, vegetarian options, and a variety of other dishes contributed by attendees.
