Is Pope Francis taking interreligious dialogue in new directions when he encourages the dialogue of fraternity and uses expressions such as “accompaniment” and “the journey together”? Five experts will review these questions and others in a panel discussion. In the fifth year since the election of Pope Francis, 50 years since Vatican II, and after five decades of interreligious dialogue formally promoted by the Catholic Church, those engaged in the Catholic interreligious initiatives are reviewing the past, noting achievements and frustrations, and discerning the way forward with Pope Francis.

The panel discussion, which is open to the public, is part of a larger conference evaluating the past and discerning future trends, specifically for Christian-Muslim relations and relations with Hindus and Buddhists.
