Stump the Deaf Rabbi

November 21, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

You know how some people just have an answer for everything? See if you can throw your burning questions about life, ethics, current events, religion, or anything else at our special guest, Rabbi Yehoshua Soudakoff! Perhaps you can get him to say, “Wow, good question — I don’t know!”

Can G-d create something so heavy he can’t lift it? Can Jewish vampires drink blood? Can we use phones on Shabbat?

From the simple curiosity to the outlandish questions, Rabbi Soudakoff is here to respond. Rabbi Yehoshua Soudakoff is a Deaf man from Los Angelos. He currently lives in Rishon Lezion, Israel, with his wife Cheftziba Soudakoff. Rabbi Soudakoff runs the Israeli nonprofit Chushim (a Chabad for the Deaf and HoH) and the American nonprofit Jewish Deaf Foundation.

This event is open to anyone interested in attending, not just Gallaudet Hillel members. 🙂 For accommodations or further questions, please contact Jacob Salem at [email protected]rg by November 19th.
