Non-Traditional Movements in Judaism and Islam
The next event of the Jewish-Islamic Dialogue Society will be a Zoom discussion on non-traditional movements in Judaism and Islam, featuring panelists Ani Zonneveld (president of Muslims for Progressive Values) and Taya Ma Shere (co-founder of Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute). The dialogue will consider the beliefs, successes, and challenges faced by nontraditionalists of both faiths, bringing light to diverse perspectives and little-discussed movements. Strands of Compassion Concert
Internationally-acclaimed concert artists and activist virtuosos, Christoph Wagner, cellist, and Joanne Kong, pianist, will weave together music, reflections, and imagery in an inspiring event. Since 2010 McLean Community Rise Against Hunger Events has held eleven events and packaged 3,000,000 meals. It is a great opportunity for people of different faith traditions to come together to help end world hunger.
