Serving as a Jew or Muslim for Life — Accepting the Inevitability of the Struggle.
In this JIDS session, we will confront head on the inevitability of struggling in the life of any religious Jew or Muslim. We will hear candid talks from two members of our community who helped JIDS thrive from its inception: Adam Marker and Haytham Younis. 2022 Tysons Interfaith Essay and Art Contest
The theme for this year's Essay and Art Contest is "Out of Many One/Exploring Our Roots." Students of all ages are invited to explore topics such as: "How my heritage has impacted my life; my family's journey to/in America; welcoming people who are different from me. Cash prizes will be award for youth 12 and under and teens 13-18. The deadline for submission is midnight October 17, 2022. Winners will be announced on November 1, 2022.
