Polk, the Fowler’s senior curator of Latin American and Caribbean popular arts, discusses the fascinating history of a large, intricately carved, teakwood shrine located inside the Jain Center of Southern California (JCSC) in Buena Park. Modeled after a famous temple in Palitana, Gujarat, India, it was commissioned by the British colonial authorities for the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.   What: The EDCJCC and Project Affinity are partnering for a morning of interfaith conversation and volunteering! Join our Muslim neighbors at Project Affinity to share ways our traditions both mandate serving others and then work together to pack lunches and toiletry kits for folks experiencing homelessness. After we make the lunches and toiletry kits we will travel to a park near the JCC to pass them out to people experiencing homelessness.

Join liturgical artist Shir Ifrah as she performs the music and poetry of Mimouna. Infinite Sanctum: An Immersive Art Experience
