Black Fathers Matter

Join the DC Black History Celebration Committee, WPFW, and other community groups in a special fathers’ day tribute – Black Fathers Matter –  on Sunday, June 21st. We encourage people to display black ribbons, a black balloon or create and display a banner or poster in your neighborhood, community or church beginning Friday, June 19th, in honor of Black Fathers. 

There will also be a Black Fathers Matter Caravan on Sunday June 21 @ 1pm at the African American Civil War Museum, 1925 Vermont Ave. Northwest, Washington, DC 20001. This and every year, Black Lives Matter – Black Fathers Matter, and we celebrate them, June 19th through 21st.
