After Charlottesville: The Battle Against Bigotry Shabbat Dinner

February 23, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

$20.18

Dinner at 6:00 PM

Shabbat Service at 7:30 with guest speaker Doron Ezickson, Anti-Defamation League Washington, D.C. Regional Director

There has been a surge in reports of hate crimes targeting Jews, Muslims, African-American and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and our friends and neighbors feeling threatened. This is a time when we have an obligation as Jews and as Americans to speak out to combat the modern reemergence of hate that threatens our society.

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice, and bigotry. Mr. Ezickson joined ADL as the Regional Director of the Washington, DC Region in January 2017. He serves as a member of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. He was previously a law partner in the offices of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and an adjunct faculty member of the Georgetown University Law School. In Washington, D.C., Doron has served on the board of directors of the DC Central Kitchen and A Wider Circle, two local nonprofits that battle hunger and poverty.
